Another Canadian Collector

I'm in my late forties and been collecting, off-and-on, since the mid-1980's. I'm quite active, I spent 100 days in the field in 2007, (whenever there isn't snow!). My main focus is Cicindelidae and I have all but about three of the North American forms. In the past couple of years I've concentrated on Omus and this meant also catching Scaphinotus, Sphaeroderus, Callisthenis, Calosoma and Carabus. About a year ago I started trading for Carabus and now have about 1400 specimens, mainly from Europe. Sadly, there aren't many Carabus species locally, but I've been able to find maeander, serratus, taedatus and granulatus. I doubt if I'll ever get to Europe to find them myself but have developed quite an interest in Carabus diversity!
