New carabid journal (International journal of Carabid Research)

Hello,
I am pleased to announce the launch of a new carabid journal, the “journal for international carabid research”:
http://www.jicr.carabusonline.co.uk/index.php/jirc/

There are a number of exciting points about this article. Firstly it’s open access, that means it’s free for everyone to be able to view it, and we don’t charge anything to publish. Secondly we encourage submissions from amateurs and academics alike. In order to encourage submissions from both we have a number of sections in the journal including:

  • Peer reviewed academic articles
  • Collection reports
  • Book reviews
  • News

Only academic articles require peer-review, other articles only require editorial review to ensure they reach our standards.

We are currently looking for experts in the field to act as reviewers for academic articles and of course we are looking for articles of all types. Initially we are aiming to produce 2 issues a year. However if there are sufficient articles we will produce an issue more frequently. Issues will contain a combination of various article types in order to balance interest between academics and amateurs.

If you are interested in submitting an article of any type then please have a look at our guidelines:

Articles must be submitted in doc or rtf format and can be submitted by emailing to the editor (

matthew.ellis@carabusonline.co.uk

) or by logging on to the website and using our simple 5-step online submission tool. If you wish to submit online then make sure you check the “Author” box when register. Of course if you wish to act as a reviewer then make sure you click the “Reviewer” box.

We look forward to your submissions!
